ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Materials Testing Technician with our Oklahoma City, OK office, you will be responsible for performing field and laboratory testing on various construction materials along with mid- to high-level site inspections on a variety of projects. You will coordinate and travel to on-site inspections, work with contractors in the field on projects in all weather conditions and terrain types.

Qualifications

  • You must be 21 years of age to work as a field technician and 18 years of age to work as a laboratory technician.
  • You must have a valid driving license

Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position is for a full-time graphic and marketing specialist who will work with the technical staff and local leadership on strategies and approaches to pre-planning and marketing specific market sectors, project types and new clients. You will engage with clients to interpret their needs and then execute concepts and design for proposals, interviews, presentations, and various marketing materials. You will utilize your Adobe Creative Suite skills to support. You will be involved in the following:

  • Assists with proposals/presentation preparation and working with Project Managers to ensure quality material is submitted and delivered on schedule.
  • Researches, gathers and edits proposal materials, including project experience, current capabilities and accreditations, verifying and formatting proposal information.
  • Assists with editing and customizing professional and technical staff resumes, and firm capabilitie to match proposal/qualification requests and related documents.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials and programs including, but not limited to, proposals, advertising, direct email/mail, social media, conferences, event planning assistance and promotional materials.
  • Organizes client development events and attends various marketing events.
  • Monitors media sources for upcoming new projects in the horizon.

As a Geotechnical Engineer with our Tulsa, OK office you will be responsible for the following:

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the construction materials testing and inspection department.
  • Independently apply diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
  • Supervise subordinate staff and initiate hiring and termination of such staff.
  • Provide technical and administrative expertise; authorize routine expenditures for business operations, capital equipment purchases, and major equipment repairs.
  • Review the work of engineers, inspectors, and technicians for accuracy and completeness.
  • Authorize fee schedules.
  • Perform engineering studies.
  • Serve as point-of contact for clients on major projects.
  • Coordinate efforts of marketing personnel.
  • Oversee billing operations to assure that invoices are issued for work performed.
  • Implement the quality assurance program.
  • Review and approve those test and inspection reports requiring a PE signature.
  • Interface with clients to handle inquiries about reports, special requests, and complaints.
  • Prepare proposals for new work and presentations of Company qualifications for major projects.
  • Encourage on-the-job training and schooling from outside sources for those subordinate personnel who show a desire to improve.
  • Assure efficient scheduling of personnel and equipment.
  • Participate in professional organizations and interfaces with technical organizations regarding current technical issues.
  • Expand the Department market through business development initiatives.
  • Review customer feedback survey forms and implements changes as appropriate.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Company’s quality system.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who has the willingness and ability to strengthen and develop relationships with clients.

Candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters Degree in Geotechnical is Preferred.
  • PE License in Oklahoma or the ability to obtain the PE within one year.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Cost Estimating Experience.
  • Experience interfacing with clients on a regular basis.
  • Experience in developing, implementing and successfully managing operating budgets.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills and attention to detail is a must.
