We have set the STANDARD in Geotechnical and Material Testing since 1951.
Standard Testing and Engineering was founded in 1951 as a professional engineering firm specializing in geotechnical and materials testing and engineering services for the construction and manufacturing industries. Standard Testing employs highly-trained and experienced people most with college-level and/or specialized technical training, at our laboratory facilities in Oklahoma City, Lawton, and Enid.
In the geotechnical engineering and materials testing business, overall qualifications and specific competence in performing tests are most reliably demonstrated by (1) professional licensure and (2) accreditation by a recognized accreditation authority. Standard Testing and Engineering holds a certificate of authorization (CA #7933) from the Oklahoma State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and currently has 6 management and/or technical positions for registered professional engineers. Each of Standard’s three (3) laboratories in Oklahoma hold accreditation and/or validation by the AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) Accreditation Program (AAP) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ validation program.
Standard Testing’s Oklahoma City office maintains current AAP accreditation in asphalt mixture, soils, aggregate, sprayed fire-resistive material, and concrete testing. Our Oklahoma City laboratory has AAP accreditation for ASTM C1077 (Aggregate), D3666 (Concrete), D3666 (Aggregate), D3666 (Asphalt Mixture), D3740 (Soils), and E329, “Specifications for Agencies Engaged in the Testing and/or Inspection of Materials Used in Construction,” for Aggregate, Asphalt Mixture, Concrete, Sprayed Fire-Resistive Material, and Soil. Additionally, Standard Testing and Engineering Company is currently accredited by AAP for 50 different ASTM soil testing standards and 112 other testing standards (162 total testing standards).
